Wissenstransfer am FGZ
Knowledge Transfer
The exchange of knowledge between science and society is one of the research institute’s central concerns. To this end, RISC is in an ongoing dialogue with the public: ideas, questions, and knowledge from society are engaged with and integrated into ongoing research through research projects, events, and data collection.
At the same time, RISC aims to provide practical orientation and fact-based classification through scientific expertise. In doing so, it addresses specific questions from the public sphere and politics. The research institute provides information and advice to political and social decision-makers, organizations, and the general public.
Offers
RISC is planning various formats and events to make available and present information about the work of the research institute and to engage in a dialogue with people.
Knowledge transfer is a main activity of all sections, for example in the form of transfer projects ranging from village simulations to research workshops and debate clubs.
In addition, the knowledge transfer division plans additional centralized transfer-related offers.
Organization
Knowledge transfer within RISC takes on a variety of formats, especially at the level of the individual sections, in the research projects, and through its participating researchers. The knowledge transfer division and the Transfer Committee support and coordinate these activities.
Knowledge Transfer Division
The knowledge transfer division, located in Frankfurt, provides organizational support to the individual sections in the implementation of their respective transfer projects while consolidating their activities. At the division, central knowledge transfer formats are organized and decentralized transfer tasks are coordinated.
The knowledge transfer division also supervises and organizes the work of the Transfer Committee.
